Project Development Manager

This position is responsible for overseeing the development of projects from conception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, with experience in coordinating multiple tasks and teams.

The role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, control, report, and forecast on all elements of program delivery inclusive of safety, quality, schedule, costs, and compensation events against approved objectives.
  • Drive a culture of delivering customer and shareholder value.
  • Ensure that design milestones are met through effective interface with the design team and design subcontractors.
  • Liaise with client representatives, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and planning authorities to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Manage subcontractors/suppliers and contribute to review process ensuring reviews are planned well in advance of works starting on site.
  • Ensure project Quality Assurance requirements through processes and procedures are being complied with.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proven construction experience including time based on-site.
  • Previous work experience on reservoir projects is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Sydney Water FIFM process is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated leadership in health, safety, quality, and environmental management.
  • Previous experience with major tier-1 contractors or Sydney Water undertaking similar work is advantageous.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Client relationship and stakeholder management experience.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Understanding of design drawings and technical specifications.
  • Professionalism, positive attitude, and enthusiasm.
  • Willingness to travel to/work from project sites.
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence.
  • Construction White Card.
