Job Description
  • Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies aligned with organisational goals.
  • Oversee the creation and distribution of internal and external communications, ensuring consistency and clarity.
  • Manage media relations, including drafting press releases and coordinating responses to media inquiries.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement initiatives to build strong relationships and promote the organisation's objectives.
  • Provide strategic advice to senior leadership on communication matters.
  • Supervise a team of communication professionals, supporting their growth and performance.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication efforts, reporting on outcomes and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to branding guidelines across all communication channels.

The Successful Applicant

A Successful Senior Communications Manager Should Have
  • A degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing communication strategies and campaigns.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience in managing stakeholder relationships effectively.
  • Familiarity with media relations and crisis communication techniques particularly within the government landscape.
  • Proficiency in using digital communication tools and platforms.
