We're seeking an experienced engineer to maintain the stability and performance of our environments.

Job Description

About the Role

We need someone who can ensure our development, integration, pre-production, and production environments are healthy, available, and performant. This role is responsible for enabling engineering teams to work efficiently without disruption and ensuring our customers have a seamless experience 24/7.

  • Maintain uptime, stability, and reliability of non-production and production environments.
  • Set up smoke tests across APIs and critical services to detect potential failures.
  • Design and implement dashboards and alerting systems that provide real-time visibility into environment health.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot incidents impacting our environments, escalating where necessary.
  • Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to understand CI/CD pipelines and ensure environment availability aligns with build and deployment processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications

Typically require a tertiary qualification in IT or a related field

Relevant tertiary qualification at degree level

Strong experience in site reliability engineering, DevOps, or systems engineering roles.

Proven ability to create monitoring dashboards and alerting systems.

Hands-on experience with API testing and automation frameworks.

Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and build orchestration tools.

Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and containerized environments.

Familiarity with observability practices.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Familiarity using predictive analytics to optimize infrastructure allocation.

Solid communication skills to collaborate with engineering, QA, and DevOps teams
