Job Summary

A Senior Reliability Expert will oversee the infrastructure for our real-time analytics platform, ensuring it is robust, secure and efficient. This includes collaborating with customers to understand their needs and designing solutions, mentoring team members to enhance skills and capabilities, and setting quality standards on the team.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record of working with infrastructure-as-code, with Terraform being essential and CDKTF and Typescript preferred. They should also have experience in cloud environments, preferably AWS, strong familiarity with operational practices and systems, previous experience with data systems and platforms, and a drive to learn and improve engineering craft.

Duties
  • Design, build and manage the infrastructure for our real-time analytics platform.
  • Evaluate and improve the reliability, security and performance of the platform.
  • Partner with customers to comprehend their requirements and devise suitable solutions.
  • Coach and mentor team members to upgrade their skills and competencies.
  • Establish and elevate quality benchmarks for the team.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in infrastructure-as-code; Terraform is a must, CDKTF and Typescript are highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments; AWS is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of operational practices and systems (Observability, Security, CI/CD, Configuration management, etc.).
  • Previous experience with data systems and platforms is beneficial (acquaintance with Clickhouse, warehouses and pipelines advantageous).
  • A willingness to learn and contribute to the improvement of engineering excellence.
