About the Role

Wood Plc is seeking a highly experienced Principal Piping Designer to join its Operations APAC West business in Darwin, Northern Territory.

The successful candidate will act as the focal point Piping Designer on brownfields oil & gas projects, taking responsibility for the design and management of project scopes and resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design of complex piping systems for oil and gas projects
  • Manage project scopes and resources to ensure timely and within-budget delivery
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets technical and operational requirements
  • Develop and maintain technical expertise in piping design and discipline technology
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior designers
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualified in Engineering or Drafting
  • Minimum 15 years piping design experience in the oil and gas industry
  • Minimum 5 years in Principal Design role managing project scopes and resources
  • Understanding of discipline technology and other discipline requirements
  • Ability to problem solve effectively
  • Attention to detail
  • Competency in E3D CAD systems
