Overview of the Position

The Human Resources Strategic Partner plays a vital role within the organization, ensuring the effective delivery of human resources services to Arcare Aged Care and its workforce throughout the employee lifecycle. This position involves fostering and maintaining positive professional relationships with Arcare Managers and the executive leadership team, providing essential guidance and operational expertise on all matters related to human resource management, thereby supporting the overarching HR strategy of Arcare. The role may require travel to various locations as necessary.

Key Responsibilities
As the Human Resources Strategic Partner, your responsibilities will include: Ensuring compliance with relevant industrial relations, enterprise bargaining agreements, equal employment opportunity, occupational health and safety, and training obligations. Supporting the National Industrial Relations/Employee Relations Lead in daily HR operations. Offering assistance and advice on workforce planning and change management, both operationally and through special projects. Facilitating educational initiatives on employee relations matters and Arcare programs as needed. Serving as the primary contact for managers and employees regarding Employee Relations issues, providing direct support for workplace investigations, performance management, disciplinary actions, and terminations. Advising and coaching Residence Managers on all people-related matters throughout the employee lifecycle. Assisting with recruitment and onboarding processes as required. Being adaptable to travel to various locations as necessary. Performing other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management are desirable. Previous experience in a similar role, particularly within the Aged Care sector, is advantageous. Knowledge and experience in industrial relations and employee relations. Familiarity with employment law and related experience in areas such as equal opportunity and workplace safety. Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to cultivate effective working relationships across all organizational levels. High level of confidentiality, compassion, and integrity. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail and experience in performance management, recruitment, and HR administrative tasks. Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as the Microsoft Office suite. Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain) and Statutory Declaration. A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
