Job Title: Assessment Officer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team in Canberra. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing reports and evidence, drafting reports, and providing recommendations to senior management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the review, analysis, and drafting of reports for stakeholders.
  • Draft a detailed statement of reasons and provide recommendations using approved audit report, the provider's response to the report, and any other relevant information available.
  • Present the statement of reasons in an appropriate report template for publication.
  • Participate in the peer review of draft reports of other officers.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of relevant procedures and processes, as well as support and train other staff members.
Requirements
  • High level attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness in work undertaken.
  • Ability to demonstrate experience in critical analysis, data interpretation, and conceptual skills with the ability to translate complex information into clear and logical arguments based on evidence.
  • The ability to review written pieces of work against specified criteria, such as quality standards, and provide feedback on compliance and areas for improvement.
  • Good time management and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and manage competing priorities.
  • Experience working within a human service, clinical, or regulatory environment is highly desirable.
