Job Description:

This role involves overseeing the erection of the Balance of Plant Mechanical (BoPm) scope of a large hydro power project, ensuring work is conducted safely and in accordance with quality standards, schedule, and project specifications. The Project Lead will be responsible for planning and optimizing work scope, analyzing and identifying potential safety and quality risks, effectively communicating work plans with subcontractors, monitoring and reporting progress, and identifying non-conformances and providing recommendations for corrective actions.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and optimize work scope as follows: Prepare installation work packages, participate in the development of optimization methods for assembly if necessary, request materials and tooling, and ensure availability at the work front.
  • Analyze and identify potential safety and quality risks; mitigate in planning and execution.
  • Effectively communicate work plans with subcontractors.
  • Monitor and report progress.
  • Identify non-conformances and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
Your Profile:
  • Able to drive project success with a focus on HSE, quality, schedule, and risk management.
  • Previous demonstrated experience as a Site Supervisor or similar role in the field of large hydro power projects or similar industries. Construction and/or E&M experience is required.
  • Proficient technical and operational knowledge of balance of plant mechanical systems such as Station Cranes, Water Systems, piping, HVAC, Draft Tube Gates, Water level & flow measuring, Air Systems, Oil Handling System, Fire Protection, HVAC, Workshop Equipment, and fire protection systems.
  • Collaborative team player with a customer- and people-oriented approach, accountable, and solution-driven.
  • Proactive mindset in anticipating challenges and delivering strategic problem-solving solutions.
