**Job Title:** Environmental Services Assistant
Sustainable Waste Management SpecialistWe are seeking an experienced professional to join our team in a part-time capacity.
The successful candidate will be responsible for sorting and separating of recycling and organic waste into appropriate waste streams, providing high standard of sustainable services & recyclable advice based on state and regulatory requirements, operating in line with infection control standards and WHS policy & procedures, delivering excellent customer service to staff, clients and patients, and assisting the production teams to ensure patient satisfaction is achieved at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sorting and separating of recycling and organic waste into appropriate waste streams
- Provide high standard of sustainable services & recyclable advice based on state and regulatory requirements
- Operate in line with infection control standards and WHS policy & procedures
- Deliver excellent customer service to staff, clients and patients
- Act in accordance with all manual handling protocols
- Assisting the production teams to ensure patient satisfaction is achieved at all times
- Demonstrate professional practice by working according to Healthscope's policies and processes, code of conduct and by participating in yearly performance appraisals and mandatory education
- Supports Healthscope's safety and quality improvement in all aspects of safety including Work Health & Safety
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience as cleaner or infectious cleaning specialist in a hospital environment or similar
- Have enthusiasm, drive and passion to prepare and maintain an appropriate work area to the highest standard of excellence
- Good communication and customer service skills;
- Previous experience in a sustainability/recycle position (desirable)
