Spaceport Operations Manager Job Description

The Spaceport Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the Spaceport village operations, including strategy and execution of leasing and traveler housing programs.

This role involves coordinating service operations, monitoring and motivating staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, engaging with customers, hiring and developing talent, maintaining compliance with mandatory company training, managing scheduling and payroll, and conducting interviews and onboarding for new staff.

  • Responsible for overseeing spaceport village operations, including strategic planning and execution of leasing and traveler housing programs.
  • Coordinates service operations to ensure high-quality living and visiting accommodations for SpaceX employees and guests.
  • Monitors quality and consistency of spaceport operations by setting and enforcing standards, inspecting areas of responsibility, and providing feedback to staff.
  • Trains staff on customer service, anticipating guest needs, and resolving problems in a timely and professional manner.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as business administration, hospitality management, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Proven track record of success in managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds unassisted and stand for long periods of time.
