Job Overview

This role is responsible for leading water and wastewater project delivery, business development, and mentoring within the Northern Australia water team. The Lead Engineer will lead a pipeline of work for the company in line with the business plan and deliver projects to client satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities

  • Securing a portfolio of work for the Group in line with the group's business strategy and delivering projects to the satisfaction of clients.
  • Representing the company in client-facing roles to local Northern Territory water clients as a trusted advisor, strengthening relationships with clients.
  • Directing and defining the scope of water projects, designing innovative technical solutions and leading project design teams to deliver results.
  • Leading the development and submission of proposals for new projects.
  • Mentoring and developing less experienced team members and collaborating with colleagues across service lines.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Civil/Mechanical Engineering, or related field; eligible for or holding the relevant engineering registration where applicable for country/state requirements.
  • Significant experience in the technical leadership and management of water engineering projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable standards and familiarity with industry best practices.
  • A track record for delivering exceptional client experiences, proven ability to cross-sell and identify new service offerings.
  • A valid driver's license.
