The Position

We're looking for a Commercial Loan Origination Expert to become a vital part of our team. This role involves originating loans, driving sales growth, and managing a portfolio of customers. Additionally, mentorship of junior team members is highly valued.

This position requires someone who is well-organised, has excellent communication skills, and is passionate about engaging with people. As an agile group, we execute quickly and value teamwork, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently.

Key Accountabilities
  • Originating loans and driving sales growth;
  • Managing a portfolio of customers;
  • Mentoring junior team members;
  • Utilising initiative, planning, time management, and selling skills to increase sales and ensure maximum return;

Requirements include:

  • At least 2+ years' experience within a lender, bank, or mortgage broker dealing with lending scenarios;
  • A proven sales record with a strong desire for continuous improvement;
  • Experience in mentoring or leading a team;
  • Diligent skills in managing a pipeline of customers with multiple tasks and deadlines;
  • A history in dealing with customers remotely, particularly over the phone;
  • The ability to develop rapport, show empathy whilst building strong and long-term customer partnerships;
  • Some prior exposure to self-employed customers, low-doc and non-conforming lending, SMSF loans, bridging finance, and commercial lending is beneficial;
  • Certificate IV (or greater) in Finance & Mortgage Broking;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • A strong attention to detail;
