About the Role

As a key member of our hotel's operations team, the Chief Facilities Manager will be responsible for overseeing all engineering and maintenance activities across the property.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled professional to join our team and lead the way in ensuring seamless facilities management, exceptional guest experiences, and compliance with safety and sustainability standards.

The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge of building management/engineering, excellent communication and collaborative skills, and a proven track record of managing and training a team.

  • Main Responsibilities:

    • Lead the Engineering Team in day-to-day engineering and maintenance operations.
    • Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs to ensure all equipment and facilities are in good working order.
    • Monitor and coordinate services performed by outside contractors.
    • Collaborate with departments like Housekeeping and Front Office to ensure seamless operations.
    • Plan, implement, and administer effective preventive maintenance and energy management programs.
    • Conduct ongoing inspections of building and facilities to ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety, Fire or any other pertinent legislation.

  • Requirements:

    • Electrical, Plumbing, or Mechanical trade qualified.
    • Motivated, self-driven, with a passion for delivering consistency.
    • Flexibility with rostering and available 24/7 in case of an emergency.
    • High communication and collaborative skills.
    • Possess knowledge of the requirements of government regulations and technical rules.
    • A hands-on and approachable leader with previous experience managing and training a team.
