Director of Rooms Operations

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced leader to join our team as Director of Rooms at Hyatt Regency Sydney. As a key member of our hotel operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire Rooms Division, including Front Office, Group Operations, Housekeeping, Bell Desk, Regency Club Lounge, and Concierge.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure that each department delivers a personalized experience for guests in line with our brand standards.
- Work closely with department managers to ensure efficient operations and maximize revenue.
- Monitor and influence cost management and revenue generation for each department.
- Develop and mentor department managers to achieve their full potential.
- Actively engage with employees throughout the division to foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
Requirements:
- Previous international experience in a large 5-star hotel.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- Proven ability to handle emergency and crisis situations.
- A relevant degree in Business or Hospitality.
- Proven ability to improve and maintain Guest Satisfaction Score.
- Sound working knowledge in systems including HotSOS, Birchstreet, and Opera PMS.
- Strong experience managing large Inventory/Stock.
- Experience managing Hygiene Certification requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Full working rights in Australia.
