Procurement Strategist

This is a key role in the delivery of electoral processes, one of South Australia's largest logistical events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing timely advice and support to branches commensurate to the value and complexity of procurement needs.
  • Reviewing and/or managing higher value and more complex procurements and whole of ECSA contracts.
  • Ensuring effective contract management services for nominated ECSA contracts by monitoring performance against KPIs and implementing remedial actions where required.
  • Developing and communicating subject-matter expertise with respect to best practices in market approaches, tendering and contracts, procurement options and strategies.
  • Identifying and implementing opportunities to streamline delegations and procurement approval and reporting processes, applying a risk-management approach.
  • Maintaining and communicating up-to-date policy and process documentation, advice, hints and tips and procurement-related templates.
Requirements:
  • Familiarity with SA Government procurement policies.
  • Able to autonomously develop end-to-end procurement documentation.
  • Effective negotiation skills.
