We are experiencing exciting growth across the country and seeking a smart and energised purchasing specialist to join our procurement team.
This is a key role in our procurement team requiring a person who is proactive with a can-do attitude and will be responsible for performing and managing procurement and purchasing activities across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
Collaborate effectively with internal teams to understand and address procurement needs.
Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, clarify, define, and refine the scope of supply, supply requirements and statement of work, and provide regular updates.
Respond quickly to changing procurement requirements and project needs.
Make fast, informed decisions under tight deadlines to minimize project disruption.
Address supplier issues quickly to ensure project timelines are met.
Ensure compliance with procurement regulations.
Conduct risk assessments to identify and mitigate procurement risks.
Communicate clearly and concisely with stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
Identify opportunities and provide recommendations for procurement systems and process improvements and efficiency.
Foster a proactive and solutions-oriented approach to procurement challenges.
Address problems that are not immediately evident but complex, difficult to resolve and would cause delays and considerable expenditure of resources.
Approach the market including obtaining quotes, issuing requests for tender, evaluating offers, and assessing market capacity to supply.
Initiate and support supply chain due diligence activities.
Perform procurement planning and scheduling.
Contribute to performance management against key performance indicators and performance reporting.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Equivalent experience to, or, a Cert IV in Supply Chain (Procurement, Material Logistics), Contracting, Business, Commerce, Law, or Finance, or relevant technical background.
Minimum of 5 years prior relevant procurement and/or purchasing experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Proficient in Microsoft Teams and SharePoint for collaboration and document management.
Ability to create impactful presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint for stakeholders.
Ability to prioritize tasks effectively to handle multiple procurement activities at once.
Ability to work independently under limited supervision.
Advanced understanding and ability to use software/online-based procurement/purchasing management systems.
Australian citizenship and/or eligibility to obtain and maintain Security Clearance as needed.
