About the Role

UniSuper is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Governance Officer to provide strategic support to the Office of the CEO. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective governance of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Board Support: Provide high-level support to Company Secretaries and Executive Leadership Team, including managing delegated functions, researching and preparing board and management papers, and drafting policies.
  • Policy Development: Review, research, and make proposals to improve and update board policies and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory filing requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and document and maintain processes for the effective and compliant delivery of Company Secretarial accountabilities.
  • Communication: Facilitate communication between the board, management, shareholders, and other stakeholders, ensuring effective governance within the organization.
Requirements
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in providing support to Boards and Committees, with a strong understanding of corporate governance principles and practices.
  • Skills: Strong written communication skills, with the ability to prepare agendas, presentations, reports, and minutes. Proficiency in using Diligent Board books and driving usage to lift efficiency and effectiveness of the function.
  • Education: Completed or studying relevant disciplines such as business, data analysis, or law. Postgraduate studies in Corporate Governance are highly regarded.
