Job Description

The successful applicant will gain valuable on-the-job experience in the area of Community Pharmacy, working closely with our passionate and professional pharmacists and dispensary technicians. You will provide a range of pharmacy services to inpatients and outpatients of the hospital through our Hospital Pharmacy.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently under time constraints while prioritizing work according to current workload
  • Ensure an ethical approach to sales by providing advice that benefits the long-term needs of customers
  • Foster product knowledge on a consistent basis to deliver correct and appropriate advice
  • Function with efficiency and accuracy in stock management, including setting up and managing tasks required to be completed by the dispensary

You will work Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday mornings. We offer a dynamic and supportive work environment that encourages continuous learning and professional development.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  1. Tertiary qualifications and documented evidence of results (academic transcript), including eligibility for professional registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia
  2. Eligibility for provisional registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) prior to commencement of employment
  3. High-level communication and interpersonal skills, including demonstrated commitment to our values and how you apply these values in the workplace
  4. Demonstrated problem-solving skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and work unsupervised
  5. Proven willingness and ability to be trained, including a commitment to continuing education and professional development
  6. High level of computer literacy, including the ability to use dispensary software (FRED preferred)
