About the RoleWe are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Intern Pharmacist to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our hospital pharmacy, you will work closely with experienced pharmacists and dispensary technicians to provide high-quality patient care and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently under time constraints while prioritizing work according to current workload.
- Provide ethical sales advice to benefit customers' long-term needs.
- Maintain and expand product knowledge to ensure delivery of correct and appropriate advice.
- Effectively manage stock and complete tasks required by the dispensary.
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- Tertiary qualifications and documented evidence of results (academic transcript), including eligibility for professional registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.
- Eligibility for provisional registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) prior to commencement of employment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrated commitment to our values, and ability to apply these values in the workplace.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and work unsupervised.
- A proven willingness and ability to be trained, including a commitment to continuing education and professional development.
- High-level computer literacy, including proficiency in using dispensary software (FRED preferred).
