Senior SMSF Accountant Opportunity

This is a rare chance to join a boutique accounting firm in Melbourne's inner east. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical compliance skills, a passion for business advisory work, and excellent communication abilities.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end SMSF compliance, including financials, tax returns, and audit preparation.
  • Deliver tailored solutions to high-net-worth individuals and their advisors.
  • Contribute to the firm's business advisory projects.
  • Review work completed by junior team members, providing feedback and support.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry developments, ensuring best practice standards are upheld.
  • Assist in managing workflows and supporting the broader SMSF team's operational needs.
About You
  • 4-5+ years' experience in SMSF accounting within a public practice setting.
  • CA/CPA qualified or close to completion.
  • Proven experience managing a portfolio of SMSFs.
  • Strong interest in business advisory work.
  • Professional and articulate communicator, comfortable dealing with high-calibre clients.
  • Eager to step into a leadership role and help mentor junior team members.
