About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Payroll Systems Administrator to join our team in Canberra. As a key member of our Human Resources (HR) Frameworks Branch, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of our SAP payroll system, maintaining organizational structures, positions, and allocations for Parliamentarian's Electorate and Ministerial offices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise the SAP payroll system administration team responsible for administering the pay and conditions of service for staff employed under the MOP(S) Act.
  • Provide high-quality advice to Senators, Members, and their employees in relation to pay and associated entitlements provided under the MOP(S) Act.
  • Manage the implementation and testing of SAP system updates and upgrades.
  • Provide high-level and transactional reports from SAP as required.
  • Provide assistance and training to other staff in relation to the use of SAP, particularly when there has been a system update or upgrade.
  • Represent the Branch at meetings related to payroll system administration and other relevant matters.

Our Human Resources (HR) Frameworks Branch is responsible for providing HR services to staff of parliamentarians employed under the MOP(S) Act, including payroll services, IT systems support, policy development, and advice.
