Key Responsibilities

As a Home Care Worker with KinCare, you will provide support to our customers in the Taree area, helping them live independently at home for longer. Your day will include:

  • Domestic assistance: Cleaning the home to ensure a safe and beautiful environment
  • Helping with meal preparation and shopping
  • Providing social support and transport to lifestyle activities
  • Personal care, including getting customers up, showered and dressed, managing medications, and assisting with mobility and therapy goals
  • Respite and emotional support
  • Social support and transport to appointments
  • Complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate III or above in Aged Care or Individual Support, Disability or Nursing
  • Experience of 6 months or more in a similar role, including experience with personal care, manual handling, hoist training, and medications
  • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle
  • The ability to work independently and find solutions to everyday problems
