About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Medical & Surgical Department at HealthcareLink Support. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the development of our clinical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Clinical Leadership: Lead by example and demonstrate expertise in clinical practice, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
  • Collaborate with the Healthcare Team: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care plans, promoting seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Monitor and Report Patient Vitals: Accurately monitor patients' vital signs and report any adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner, ensuring prompt interventions and optimal patient care.
  • Educate Patients and Families: Provide clear and concise information to patients and their families about surgical procedures, post-surgery care, and other relevant health topics, promoting informed decision-making and empowerment.
  • Lead Quality Improvement Initiatives: Identify areas for improvement and develop and implement effective quality improvement projects, driving positive change and enhancing patient care.
  • Participate in Discharge Planning: Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement discharge plans, ensuring a smooth transition for patients and families.

About You
  • Current AHPRA Registration: Hold current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Experience in Surgical/Acute Medical and Rehabilitation: Possess a minimum of 2 years' experience in surgical, acute medical, and rehabilitation settings, with a strong understanding of clinical practices and procedures.
  • Demonstrated Professional Development: Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest clinical practices, research, and technologies.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
