We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical & Surgical Department as a Clinical Leader. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering excellence in clinical leadership and providing safety and quality to patients and members of the multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities- Adjust specialized medical equipment as needed, and interpret and record measurements
- Monitor patients' vitals and report adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner
- Answer questions and educate patients and their families on surgical procedures and post-surgery care
- Led successful quality improvement and safety management project/s to deliver desired outcomes
- Collaborate on discharge planning with the healthcare team
- Act as a role model for Safe Practice
Our hospital is a 124-bed private hospital located in the heart of Parkville, 1.7km from Melbourne CBD. We offer highly specialized services including extensive neurosurgery, neurology, advanced coronary care, cardiothoracic, orthopaedic, and general surgery. These services are supported by a 10-bed intensive care unit, 4-bed acute coronary care unit, and 6-bed neurosurgical high dependency unit.
About You- Current AHPRA Registration
- Previous surgical/acute medical and rehabilitation experience required of 2 years or more
- Demonstrated professional development
- Demonstrated ability to show initiative and work within a team environment
- Commitment to Quality Patient Care
- Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Works well independently and within a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Minimum 2 years' experience in acute care
