Family Support Facilitator

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Family Support Facilitator to join our dynamic team in Maitland. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in facilitating safe and meaningful family time for children and young people in the Permanency Support Program (Out of Home Care) with their families and significant others.
As a Family Support Facilitator, you will have the opportunity to utilize your skills and knowledge to provide mentoring to children and young people in various settings. You will also be responsible for providing written updates and reports. Our team offers guidance and assistance, as well as opportunities for upskilling and professional development.
This is a rewarding role that will enable you to strengthen family connections between children, young people, and their families. We offer flexibility in employment arrangements, making it an ideal opportunity for those seeking primary employment or accommodation for existing work or studies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitating safe and meaningful family time for children and young people in the Permanency Support Program (Out of Home Care)
- Providing mentoring to children and young people in various settings
- Writing updates and reports
Requirements:
- Degree in Human Services or related field (desired but not essential)
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to build and maintain strong relationships with others
- Individual and team work
- Flexible and able to work non-standard hours when required
- A current NSW Working with Children's check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
- Unencumbered Australian or NSW driver's license
- NDIS Workers Screening Check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
- Covid 19 Vaccination
