Logistics Technical Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a Logistics Technical Specialist to support the successful operation, maintenance, and modification of the Wedgetail from an assessing perspective.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering logistics and technical support as directed by the E7 Australia Wedgetail Logistics Support Manager. Your duties will include:

  • Delivering logistics and technical support as directed;
  • Actioning daily Technical Assessor duties, including identification requests relating to new items of supply, collaboration with Australian Defence Force Logistics Managers (ADFLMs), unscheduled construction, updates, and maintenance of ADAASS, processing data amendments/corrections within ERP and other Commonwealth Logistics Applications, action routine Technical Substitution, and undertaking amendments as required;
  • Providing technical advice to Spares Inventory Managers (SIMs), Repairable Item Managers (RIMs), and Engineers in relation to Statements of Requirements and recommended orders within ERP;
  • Transferring skills and knowledge to others within the program through the sharing of ideas, information, and experiences;
  • Seeking opportunities for professional development and supporting the contributions of others.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a similar role, with a strong understanding of logistics and technical support principles. You will also possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Requirements

Essential criteria:

  • Aircraft maintenance engineer qualification (CERT IV - mechanical, avionics, or structures);
  • Ability to integrate into established teams and work within an inclusive environment;
  • Top-shelf attitude, desire to learn, work hard, and become an integral member of the team that supports a critical Defence capability.
Desirable Criteria

A fully qualified and experienced Technical Assessor; Experience within a Systems Program Office (SPO) environment; Demonstrated ability using approved Defence tools such as ADAASS, MILIS, or ERP, CAMM2, NetMARRS; Ability to understand and interpret the Electronic Supply Chain Manual (ESCM).
