This role involves providing expert legal advice, managing litigation and undertaking research to support legal project work. You will be part of a dedicated team ensuring high-quality service to stakeholders.
\- Provide guidance on legislative matters affecting workers' compensation claims.
- Manage and review legal advice on common law damages claims and statutory workers' compensation claims.
- Represent the organization in proceedings before the Personal Injury Commission and higher courts.
- Support the Legal Team and clients across complex claims and litigation.
- Stay up-to-date with case law and legislative amendments relevant to statutory and common law claims.
- Offer practical technical advice on strategic management and claims handling.
- Collect and report on scheme trends and individual cases.
- Proven experience in a similar role with strong litigation and claims management expertise.
- Excellent understanding of NSW Workers Compensation legislation and associated Acts and Regulations.
- Tertiary legal qualifications and preferably 3 years PQE in legal practice.
- A current unrestricted NSW practice certificate is preferred.
