Senior Electrical Estimator Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to join our team at Marble. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for producing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical projects across Australia and New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and analyze project specifications, drawings, and tender documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates.
  • Conduct quantity takeoffs and develop material, labour, and equipment cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for bid preparation.
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities in bids and provide recommendations to the management team.
  • Prepare detailed tender packages, including cost breakdowns, schedules, and other supporting documentation.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project scope and requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, material costs, and labour rates to maintain accurate estimating data.
  • Provide variations for existing projects.
  • Maintain knowledge of compliance factors, including standards and regulations.
  • Build lasting relationships with internal and external parties.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience as an Electrical Estimator.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and construction methods.
  • Proficient in estimating software and tools.
  • Knowledge of Sim PRO and Ground Plan is a bonus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze project specifications, drawings, and other technical documents.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
