Sample Preparation Supervisor Position

This is a key leadership role within our laboratory team, responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient preparation of samples.

The successful candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, a strong understanding of laboratory procedures, and the ability to motivate their team to meet high performance targets.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and lead a team of laboratory technicians.
  • Coordinate the movement of inwards and outwards samples.
  • Support and drive the team to achieve daily production targets.
  • Assist in reviewing processes to improve safety, quality, and productivity.

Requirements:

  • A good working knowledge of sample preparation laboratory procedures & sampling techniques.
  • Understanding and implementation of quality control / assurance procedures.
  • Understanding and implementation of occupational, health, safety and environmental principles and procedures.
  • Ability to manage a large number of staff in the daily operation of a mining laboratory environment.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday.
  • 8 hour rotating shift roster.
  • Day shift (6:00am - 2:00pm), afternoon shift (2:00pm - 10:00pm) and night shift (10:00pm - 6:00am).

Full availability across all shifts is required. The roster may also change in future to meet business requirements.
