**About the Position**

The Environmental Division in Wangara (Perth - North) is seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician to join a team that strives to exceed client expectations by delivering quality results on time. The successful applicant will receive on-the-job training in the technical components and procedures of the role.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Preparation and analysis of soil, water, and marine sediment samples for a variety of tests throughout Ensuring that analytical procedures and associated tasks are conducted in accordance with the ALS Quality Work Instructions including QA/QC
- Organising designated tasks to maximise daily efficiencies
- Completing all tasks and analyses within both the time set down by the supervisor and the relevant analysis standard
- Highlighting anomalies in results and sample type and sample behaviour

**About you**
- A desire to work in a high-throughput, customer focused environment, with preference given to those with previous commercial laboratory experience
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational and time management skills
- Desire to learn new skills
- Good communication skills
- A strong desire to exceed client expectations by delivering quality results on time
- A genuine interest in the Science Industry preferably with a BSc (Chemistry, Environmental Science or similar) or TAFE qualifications in Laboratory Techniques
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
- This position is for our 8-4pm shift with flexibility to meet business needs if required.
