Accountant Role Overview

This role is an exciting opportunity to join our finance team as a skilled accountant. As an experienced professional, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the financial accounting functions of multiple entities run smoothly.

Working closely with the Senior Tax & Treasury Accountant and the Treasury & Taxation unit, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive financial reporting, budget preparation, and management of long-term financial plans.

Key Responsibilities

As an accountant, your duties will include preparing statutory returns, managing treasury services, and assisting with internal reviews and delivering high-quality financial reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Commerce or related field.
  • Eligibility to study Certified Practising Accountant status (CPA Australia) or Chartered Accountant (Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia).
  • Experience working in a relevant finance field.
  • Understanding of relevant Accounting Standards.
  • Sound understanding of accounting systems, computer concepts, and programs.
  • High level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong numerical, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, including liaison, consultation, and negotiation skills, and ability to work in a team environment.
