About this Role

As a Justice Professional, you will utilise your expertise to provide critical support and guidance to prisoners at the Metropolitan Remand Centre.

This is an ongoing, full-time opportunity to work with a high-performing and dedicated team in the public service sector. You will contribute to the holistic management of prisoners, including supporting community integration, monitoring, and encouraging program participation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to support prisoners and facilitate their rehabilitation
  • Providing individual assessments and referrals under direction, responsive to prisoner needs and requirements
  • Facilitating group prisoner orientation sessions and information workshops
Requirements
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Experience in or understanding of working within a correctional environment and its associated challenges
