Job Role Overview

The Assistant Manager position is a key role within the Sentence Management Division, responsible for identifying and meeting the needs of prisoners across various correctional facilities.

Key responsibilities include vacancy management, placement, and classification of prisoners to ensure efficient operation of the correctional system.

  • Conduct interviews, assessments, and develop sentence plans to identify program needs and determine security ratings.
  • Collaborate with Case Management Review Committees to review and approve recommendations and decisions in accordance with Corrections Victoria policy.

This role requires guiding and supporting offender management processes across the Victorian correctional system.
