
Vision Education Specialist

Role Summary:
- Teach students with sensory disabilities by leveraging the Western Australian Curriculum and best classroom practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and assess personalized learning plans to cater for individual student needs.
- Maintain open communication with parents and schools through timely reporting.
- Pursue regular professional development to enhance knowledge and skills.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A Graduate Certificate in Education or Master of Education with specialisation in vision impairment.
- Relevant tertiary studies in vision impairment for candidates without a Graduate Certificate or Master of Education with specialisation in vision impairment.
Work Environment and Travel:
- Based at Statewide Specialist Services in Padbury with potential hubs in metropolitan and regional areas.
- May involve extensive state-wide travel with overnight stays, including long distance driving and/or flights to remote locations.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights.
- Apply for a WA Working with Children Check prior to commencement.
