Mental Health Policy Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to contribute to the reform of the state's mental health system.
The Department of Health is embarking on an ambitious policy challenge to reshape the mental health system and the way mental health services are delivered in Victoria. This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference to the way people experiencing mental illness are supported.
- Engage closely with stakeholders to ensure that the new legislation achieves the vision of the Royal Commission.
- Work collaboratively within the division and the sector more broadly to contribute to the development of critical foundations for these reforms.

Key Responsibilities:
- Establish key relationships with stakeholders to inform the development of mental health policies.
- Develop and implement strategies to support the delivery of mental health services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and improvement in mental health services.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working in mental health policy, advocacy or research.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
