Contract Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Management Specialist to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing commercial and contractual risk, as well as supporting project delivery teams to achieve financial and operational performance targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop strategic procurement plans aligned with project timelines.
  • Coordinate contract execution and collaborate with our commercial team to secure project outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain effective project controls, including cost tracking and progress reporting.
  • Manage subcontractor and supplier agreements to ensure compliance and minimize risk.
  • Prepare and submit timely progress claims, variation notifications, and contractual responses.
  • Provide expert advice to legal, finance, and operational teams on contract matters.
  • Support the Divisional Manager in preparing monthly project forecasts.
  • Lead and mentor Contract Administrators to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Construction or Contracts Management (desired).
  • 5-10 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in industry-standard contracts, including AS, GC21, and NEC.
  • Strong proficiency in computer software, particularly MS Excel.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific tools, such as Coins, Felix, or Procore (an asset).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data processing.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage competing deadlines.
