Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and self-motivated mechanic to join our fantastic team in Far North Queensland. This is predominantly a field role based at our Cowley Beach project site.

This is a fantastic opportunity to bring your mechanical expertise to a reputable contractor with ongoing work, modern equipment, and a supportive crew.

  • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and fault diagnosis on a range of civil plant, trucks, and auxiliary equipment.

  • Field-based role with workshop duties when required.

  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company and site procedures.

  • Maintain accurate service records and report on equipment status.

  • Work independently and support operations to minimize downtime.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Trade-qualified Diesel Fitter/Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (Cert III or equivalent).

  • Solid knowledge of mobile plant, heavy vehicles, and small plant equipment.

  • Current driver's license (HR or higher desirable).

  • Construction White Card.

  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong safety focus and the ability to work autonomously.

  • Experience in civil construction environment of benefit.
