Project Manager - Construction Sector

Overview:

A leading construction firm is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the end-to-end management of multiple construction projects across various sectors.

Job Description:

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that each project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This includes planning, executing, and delivering projects across healthcare, commercial, education, civil/mining, remote construction, and concrete/batching sectors.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budget, resources, and risks.
  • Manage day-to-day project activities, including coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project progression.
  • Oversee and manage project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled and projects are delivered within financial parameters.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to ensure alignment and progress updates.
  • Conduct regular project reviews to monitor performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Lead and mentor project teams, ensuring high levels of collaboration, performance, and motivation.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, with expertise across healthcare, commercial, education, civil/mining, remote, or concrete/batching projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, project management methodologies, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide project teams.
  • In-depth experience in managing large-scale projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Solid knowledge of local construction regulations and standards, particularly in regional areas.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification (preferred).
