About us:

We are a leading community organisation, committed to enriching lives and strengthening communities.

As an initiative, we're seeking a Chaplain to provide help for today and hope for tomorrow.

The successful candidate will be set aside for generous kindness and Gospel friendship with the marginalised, pointing them to Jesus and into church community.

This is a two-year part-time position, 4 days per week, working under the leadership of St Michaels Cathedral.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To build relationships and address needs within the local community
  • To engage constructively with other agencies involved in the local community
  • To develop the capacity of individuals to live a full life while sharing the gospel with people
  • To communicate the Christian message clearly through conversations

Requirements:

  • A strong Christian faith and the ability to build relationships
  • Pastoral experience, particularly with children and families
  • Cultural sensitivity and the ability to communicate the Bible to all ages
  • A valid Working with Children Check and COVID-19 vaccination (or exemption)
