About Our Speech Therapist Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to provide therapy services to students in schools and develop capacity within schools to meet the needs of diverse learners. This involves working collaboratively with students, parents, teachers, learning support teachers, therapists, administration, and external agencies.
The role aims to strengthen individual skills of students to access the curriculum and support teaching staff in program implementation and management. The successful candidate will work closely with our Engagement, Wellbeing & Learning Team, Principals, and school staff to facilitate a holistic approach to learning for all students.
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality speech language pathology services to students in schools
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance learner outcomes for students with diverse needs
- Collaborate with students, parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to achieve shared goals
- Design and implement programs and interventions to support student needs
- Foster a culture of professional learning and development among teaching staff
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
- Degree-level qualifications in Speech Pathology from an accredited institution
- Membership or eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia
- Ability to select and apply current methodologies in speech language pathology services
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Current Working with Children Blue Card and eligibility to work in Australia
Our Offering:
- A competitive salary range $100,600-$159,917 per annum, dependent on experience
- An employer superannuation contribution of 12.75%
- Annual leave with 17.5% leave loading
