Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Assessment and Referral Services: Conduct thorough assessments of young people's needs and provide referrals to relevant services and support networks.
  • Offer Information and Guidance: Provide young people with information and guidance to help them understand their situation, their rights, and the services available to support them.
  • Assist with Access to Specialist Services: Help young people access specialist support services and accommodation options that meet their needs.
  • Respond to Crisis Situations: Respond promptly and effectively to crisis situations that may arise, providing young people with the support and guidance they need.
  • Maintain a Safe and Supportive Environment: Create a safe and supportive environment for young people, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
Requirements
  • Tertiary Qualifications: Hold a diploma or degree in a relevant field, such as social work, youth work, or community services.
  • Case Management Experience: Have experience working within a case management framework, including client assessment and intake processes.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with young people and build strong relationships.
  • Knowledge of Homelessness Services: Have a clear understanding of the homelessness service system, including patterns, trends, and systemic issues.
  • Ability to Work Autonomously: Be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
