About the Role

Bend-Tech Group is a leading manufacturer and supplier of innovative products and solutions. We are seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer to join our team and drive our production and operations strategy forward.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement production plans to optimize inventory, machinery, labor, and resources to meet sales plans and production targets.
  • Ensure the company's products and services meet customer expectations by monitoring production KPIs and metrics.
  • Manage technical and quality interactions with production employees and ensure customer focus is maintained and prioritized.
  • Take full accountability for ensuring a robust S&OP process is conducted and business improvement plans are implemented.
  • Develop and provide accurate and timely reporting to management on activities and performance.
  • Proactively contribute to change and growth strategies and programs that reinforce desired values and behaviors, improve culture, climate, morale, and enhance performance and productivity.
  • Develop production and preventative maintenance schedules, raw materials requirements, systems infrastructure, and stock levels in accordance with operational budgets and parameters.
  • Ensure performance management policies, processes, and procedures are consistently followed, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
  • Maintain and enforce health and safety guidelines, ensuring that work is carried out in a safe working manner, maintaining safe working environments.
  • Formulate strategic and operational objectives, including making recommendations to strategy plans and reviews.
  • Work cross-departmentally with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure all operations are aligned with our objectives.
  • Establish strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Communicate issues with the operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and feedback to continually develop Ops team.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years' demonstrated success in an Operational Management role, particularly in manufacturing and/or Supply Chain, with significant leadership experience.
  • A love of technology, developing efficiencies with a hunger for growth and excellence.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Strong financial and business acumen.
  • Ability to effectively coach and mentor team members with a collaborative and enabling approach.
  • Ability to build trusting and authentic relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • High level of organizational skills with the ability to self-manage time and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to think analytically and develop effective strategies.
  • Experienced in driving cost reduction through a continuous improvement strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability in leading S&OP process.
  • Experience and demonstrated understanding of practical application of Operational Excellence across all roles on site and with stakeholders.
  • Leadership experience at delivering safety and cultural change in the industrial or manufacturing sectors.
  • High motivation and commitment to quality people and plant performance and customer service excellence.
  • Strong understanding of safety principles and behaviors.
  • Refined and well-developed communication and influencing skills.
