Job Description:
  • This position involves taking on key responsibilities within project teams undertaking design and assessment of various water structures, including concrete process tanks, pump stations, reservoirs, and associated facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform advanced structural engineering design tasks under minimal supervision, including engineering drawings, reports, presentations, and required applications.
  • Develop project scope, budgets, and design approach for small size projects, and support professionals in positioning for potential projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in client project requirement meetings, coordination meetings with internal and/or external consultants, owners, contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors.
  • Participate in coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants to develop solutions.
  • Perform technically complex projects and may act as a technical resource to other team members.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of current principles and practices of structural engineering and stay informed of new methods and developments.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering – with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
  • Hold or be working towards professional registration and/or chartered status is highly regarded.
  • 8 years' experience within a consulting engineering practice.
  • Involvement in structural design of civil or industrial infrastructure with a focus on concrete and steel.
  • Under the supervision of a national team, willing to develop and expand your structural engineering experience in water and wastewater infrastructure.
  • Expertise with working with a wide range of clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong ability to prioritize workloads while maintaining strong work relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Possess strong problem-solving abilities to develop practical solutions to structural engineering challenges.
