Data Development Manager

Job Summary:
- Lead the Data Services team and manage staff development and training.
- Manage all aspects of data services development, ensuring it meets the needs of a leading marine science organization.
- Work with executives to prepare business and implementation plans.
- Engage with the national and international marine science community to promote best practice and data uptake.
Key Responsibilities:
- To lead and motivate the Data Services team and facilitate their growth and development.
- To develop and implement effective strategies for data services that meet the needs of the organization.
- To work collaboratively with senior managers to create and execute business and operational plans.
- To build relationships with key stakeholders in the marine science community and foster partnerships that promote best practice and data sharing.
Requirements:
- A postgraduate qualification in marine science or information systems management.
- Extensive experience in information management, distributed data systems, metadata standards, and project management.
