Job Summary:

This position plays a critical role in shaping the renewable energy sector for NSW, focusing on State significant energy projects.

  • Key responsibilities include working with large-scale wind farms, solar farms, transmission lines, pumped hydro and batteries across NSW.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality assessment advice to ensure State significant projects meet all statutory obligations, Government policy requirements, and Government goals.

About the Role

We are seeking experienced professionals who can bring expertise in environmental assessment and planning legislation and processes. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and outstanding stakeholder engagement skills.

The successful candidate will be part of a team working on exciting, challenging and fulfilling projects that contribute to the NSW Government's assessment and regulation of high-profile projects across the renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess the merits of State significant energy projects in line with best practice frameworks.
  • Produce high-quality work on a wide range of planning matters, including reports and effective conditions of consent.
  • Build relationships and increase engagement with stakeholders, including external agencies and the community.
