Procurement Specialist

A results-driven Procurement Specialist is sought to drive the procurement function forward. This key role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sourcing, negotiation, and contract management, working on multiple tenders of varying size and complexity.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process for various transactions at different lifecycle stages, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and implement procurement strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and communication to manage high-volume procurement needs.
  • Develop, publish, and manage procurement documents using relevant e-tendering and automated systems in line with legislation.
  • Work across business units to deliver value-for-money outcomes, identifying opportunities for improvement through data analysis and market research.
Requirements
  • Postgraduate degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience demonstrating strong knowledge and capability in procurement.
  • Proven track record of working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Results-driven and self-motivated with a strong work ethic, ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with excellent time management and prioritization abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Experience or knowledge of local government procurement practices is beneficial but not essential.
