Detailed Job Role Overview

As a dedicated Scientist, you will be part of a highly skilled team responsible for performing comprehensive diagnostic testing.

  • Performing routine procedures from specimen reception to result execution for pathological diagnosis.
  • Providing assistance with stock control and compliance with records maintenance and recording of results in line with established protocols.
  • Maintaining all equipment and operating it in accordance with specified protocols.

You will work across two hospital laboratories in a rotating roster that includes weekends and night shifts.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Science or equivalent qualification and demonstrated experience in a multidisciplinary laboratory setting, including biochemistry, haematology, and blood bank. You will have sound knowledge of quality control, quality assurance, and troubleshooting, as well as exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
