At Costco Wholesale, we are seeking an experienced Meat Cutter and Butcher to join our team in a full-time role.

Job Summary:

  • We offer a competitive salary of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for cutting and trimming raw meat for sale using saws, knives, grinders, and tenderizers.
  • Duties include inspecting and sanitizing equipment, reassembling the display case, and rotating product.
  • Responsibilities also include bringing cases of meat from the cooler, cutting and trimming meat to Costco specifications, operating a meat grinder, and transferring cut and ground meat to styrofoam trays.
  • In addition, the Meat Cutter and Butcher will assist with wrapping, stocking meat cases, cleaning and sanitizing areas throughout the day, and performing routine maintenance for machinery and equipment.
  • They will also provide prompt and courteous member service.
  • This is a dynamic role that requires strong communication and teamwork skills, as well as attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a butcher or in a similar role.
  • Ability to lift up to 40kgs and stand for long periods.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Familiarity with health code regulations and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to work a rotating roster including weekends and evenings.
