Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at Costco Wholesale. The successful candidate will be responsible for cutting and preparing raw meat for sale, ensuring high-quality products for our members.

Key Responsibilities
• Inspect and sanitize equipment, reassemble, and rework display cases to meet daily production needs
• Cut and trim meat to Costco specifications using band saws and knives, operate tenderizing machines, and follow safety procedures
• Operate meat grinders, dump meat into the top of the machine, and check fat content of each batch
• Transfer cut and ground meat to styrofoam trays, load onto large plastic trays, and transfer to large wheeled racks for wrappers
• Clean and sanitize the area throughout the day, perform routine maintenance on machinery, equipment, and implements, and provide prompt and courteous member service

Requirements
• Experienced Butcher background required
• Full-time position with rotating roster, including weekend work and varying start and end times
• Ability to lift up to 40kg cases of meat, work in a fast-paced environment, and maintain high standards of quality and safety
