Job Opportunity: Inventory Manager

The Inventory Manager is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for overseeing the management of inventory levels and ensuring timely delivery of stock to customers.

This entails replenishing stock from local and international suppliers, identifying areas for cost savings and increased service levels, and striving for 100% on-time delivery through proactive engagement with suppliers and import staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Replenishment: Replenish stock from both local and international suppliers to meet customer demands.
  • Cost Savings: Identify areas for cost savings and increased service levels by analyzing supply chains and optimizing inventory processes.
  • On-Time Delivery: Strive for 100% on-time delivery through pro-active engagement with suppliers and import staff to ensure timely receipt of goods.
  • Stock Management: Work with Category Managers and other internal stakeholders to ensure stock on shelf meets sales requirements.
  • Sourcing Opportunities: Identify cost-saving opportunities through local and international sourcing.
  • Promotions and Clearances: Liaise with sales team on promotions, product updates, and stock clearances to optimize inventory utilization.
  • Superseded Stock: Oversee and manage superseded stock and part number conversions to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Machinery Operations: Safely operate High Reach Forklift and Scissor Lift machinery to access and retrieve stock.

Requirements:

  • Inventory Systems: Experience working with inventory systems and software.
  • Purchasing and Inventory Control: Familiarity with purchasing and inventory control processes.
  • Microsoft Office Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Prioritization and Time Management: Excellent prioritization and time management skills to meet deadlines and deliver results.
  • Problem-Solving: Effective problem-solving skills to address inventory discrepancies and resolve issues.
  • Self-Starter: A self-starter with a can-do attitude to take initiative and drive results.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail to maintain accurate inventory records and avoid errors.
  • Autonomy and Teamwork: Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team to achieve common goals.
  • Certifications: Possession of High Reach Forklift Ticket and Scissor Lift experience.
